How can I break up with my band?

Alright. About 1 year ago I got together with this experimental band, IT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE SERIOUS. The band consists of Me playing guitar, Mitch the bist, and Connor the drummer. Now me and my bist have both agreed for awhile now that we would do A LOT better without this drummer. He's an arrogant, conservative, redneck, that doesn't like ANY real metal, and only wants to play Creed or Disturbed. My bist, Mitch, already hasn't been coming to practices, which I should have done months ago. Mitch does not care and neither do I, we just want to all split up so that we don't have to deal with this drummer anymore. I can be an sometimes, but I want to break it to Connor real easy, so that there's not as much hard feelings. I am sick of only being able to do gigs at my drummer's mom's birthday parties. It's time for change. I have found a new band that I have secretly been going to practices with lately too, and if I don't get rid of this drummer by the talent show I'm screwed. HELP ME. PLEASE.
