I Need Advice For A Possible Wrongful Termination!!! plz respond...?
I started a job last week at a lumber mill in town, and my 2nd day on the job I became overheated and had to spend the night in a hospital and most of the next day also there...I was diagnosed with Heat Exhaustion and Volume Depletion, instead of letting me go straight to the hospital (or have an ambulance called which it states in the handbook to do) I was instead put inside an Air Conditioned room for the rest of my shift which was approx. 3 hrs later...The hospital took bloodwork and my kidney's had apparently temporarily shut down, I am feeling better now tho...I had a doctor's excuse to go back to work Monday...as soon as I came to work Monday, I was terminated for not talking to my supervisor, which I did talk to my supervisor, but now he is covering his own A$$ and saying I did not...in fact, he was in the room with me when I was cramping up and feeling dehydrated...there was no Gatorade or salt tablets any where on the plant premises and now since this incident I was in, it is everywhere now all about the plant. The company is now not wanting to pay Workman's Comp, What should I do? Do I have any legal ground to stand upon?
