It could be what is called lean weight gain, maybe you need to look a little closer at our diet if you wish to lose weight, carbohydratess are our basic fuel, and proteins are the building blocks, if you have a diet that is too high in protein you may well gain muscle, so try a little less protein in the diet, and a few more carbs each individual is different, and so the balance will be different, it's a matter of trial and error, also as you need to watch the calories, the average adult male requires 2500 calories per day to maintain weight, but other factors need to be taken into account the main one is lifestyle, if you are very active, then you will burn more calories than someone who is very inactive, 1 pound of body fat= 3500 calories, so to lose 1 pound over a week you would need to reduce your calorie intake by 500 calories per day, (this is considered a healthy rate of weight loss), all this said you are eating well, and taking exercise, so it's just a matter of a little trial and error in balancing your diet, good luck.

It's an outdoor job. Lay down a layer of heavy plastic sheeting, place the table on it and pour on the paint remover. Make a plastic tent, keeps the fumes in and remover will not evaporate. Scr and br wire brush, lots of rags, paper towels and RUBBER GLOVES. It may need 2 or more applications. Wash down with a hose and dry as much as possible. Leave it the sun to completely dry. Inspect and scrap any spots that remain. Wait a couple of days for better drying. Sand with fine paper under smooth like a baby's bottom, use a Tack Rag to remove the dust. Then decide what type of finish you want to apply.

I have two little children 2 and 5 years old. I almost finished my first year in a 5 years journey to get my nursing degree. I was thinking maybe I go to a 12 month program, get a vocational nurse certificate and then finish my bachelor while working. My husband is a good man but our life is getting harder with him losing his job next month. My question is if I do become a vocational nurse how much will I be paid in San Bernardino CA, will I be able to find a job in a hospital? Is it normal for a kitten to not like being handled?

My 3 month old kitten does not like being handled at all. She doesn't even like being patted. It's okay to pat and hold her when she's tired, sleepy or just woken up. I think she is half dressed, I seem to remember she had a bra thrown over the clock whenever she was going to hide. I don't think she was completely naked when she discovered that. Parents-Has this ever happened to you with your children?

My eldest son never tugged on his ears or complained of pain. The only real clue we had that something was wrong is that he throws up every time he gets an ear infection. At least he used to, at nearly 7yrs he seems to be outgrowing that. It does tend to make you feel bad when your child turns out to be really sick when you thought it was something minor. Should I wean puppies early from aggressive mother dog?

I have a Chihuahua with a first litter of 4 babies by c-section. She is mostly good with them, feeds them, (I supplement with 2 feedings a day, as she has been a little overwhelmed by 4), keeps them squeaky clean, and is contstantly checking on them. They always want to nurse, and she has bitten and drawn blood on 3 of them so far. This has happened randomly, and without any warning. The puppies are 17 days old, and for a while I muzzled her when she was feeding them, or else staying right with her and keeping her away from their faces. All the bites have been on their little heads...and I have caught her snapping at one (early in the first week) but she was very sore, her milk was late, and she had two bloody teats from the puppies nursing so vigorously. I tube fed them for 3 days and they have been bottle feeding at least a couple meals a day ever since to supplement, as I was worried she does not have enough milk to feed them all. Should I wean them early?? How early??

A question about shark fin soup...?

I have read that sharks are being slaughtered by the millions every year and that the numbers of certain species are rapidly being depleted by fishermen who are providing shark fins to the mostly Chinese restaurants, but also to Singaporean and Taiwanese restaurants as well. What is puzzling is that the shark fins apparently have no nutritional value and contain very high levels of methyl mercury. My question is, why do people eat it, especially women who have fetuses developing in their wombs for which the mercury will have serious neurological effects on? I suppose they don't warn people about the consequences of eating shark fin soup in China. Am I right?

well lately ive been eating alot more then usual (when the usual is pigging out to a point its creppy) and i cant seem to get full no matter how hard i try and its really ****in annoying. That's exactly why I didn't like it. I thought, what right does this man Salinger have to express his opinion. Is that so bad? You have to admit we live in a world where individuality is crushed under the weight of reality. I mean we have been spiritually destroyed by the likes of society, physics and the limits of possibility, and our opinions never matter, which almost makes me believe anyone whose opinion did matter never had any say in the matter. So why should Salinger who can write spunky and simplistic prose get his foot in the door while we're all shut out viewing it through a window? Why should we care about him. Has he had it any worse than the rest of us? I mean there are many other people out there that have their own little ideas and allegories and musical scores for their lives but they wont be realized and these poor folks will have nothing but their thoughts. If you have any conflicts you face alone, a certain outlook on things, I would like to hear about it. I for one feel I was born on the wrong side of the river at the wrong time quoting another 'angsty' text rumblefish. I am looking for ideas to make up for forgeting my girlfiends B day?

I am not aware of consciously controlling my bowel movements. When I feel the call of nature I can resist for awhile before I must actually go and defecate, for example, when you have to wait on a line to get your opportunity to use the bathroom. I thought that the feeling of having to empty your bowels was an involuntary response that comes whenever it comes. So how can a sudden fright cause someone, a young healthy person (ex: a soldier in battle) to **** themself - unless they already had to go to the bathroom in the first place?

I have a cat too, and trust me its completely normal for a cat to get sick every so often. If your cat is anything like mine, he probably doesnt chew his food well, and just tends to swallow it whole. That can upset his stomach because it isnt digested well, like you said. If he keeps getting sick with dry food, you may want to try feeding him some wet food, preferrably tuna because it doesnt bother them as much. Or you can use some nutri-cal supplement that comes in a tube, just to make sure he gets all his nutrients if he's getting sick all the time. Trust me its not a big deal, but I'd recommend breaking his food into smaller bits that way he can digest it easier. Hope it helps. :]

Any suggestions on wet dog food?

I feed my dog 3 packets of Cesar Canine Cuisine in the morning and 3 packets at night (9 oz's each feeding). I KNOW IT"S UNHEALTHY, so I leave Blue Buffalo dry food out all the time for whenever she gets hungry and at least I know she gets some nutrition from her food. I'm looking to switch wet food because I can't stand feeding her that junk, but she doesn't like any other wet food. Granted I haven't tried all of them, but I have tried the Blue Buffalo ones and she doesn't like it. Maybe because of the pasty texture. At least the Cesar looks "meaty" I guess. Anyways, does anyone know of a healthy canned or packaged wet food that she might like? Cost isn't much of an issue since I spend 4 bucks a day on her wet food now which I feel is a rip off. I'm nearly 15. I'm a girl. I spend my free time usally in my attic room, and I've covered like EVERY bit of wall up with music posters and rip outs, it looks awesome. I don't drink or do drugs, I live on coffee.. I usally just draw cartoons or chat online when I'm at home, I never leave my room. When I go out I sit around the Skatepark with some of my friends. I sometimes go shopping and go to Starbucks. At school, people just treat me like sh*t. I'm not really bothered with all this mainstream stuff, I listen to The Misfits, The Pistols, Nirvana, Blink 182 and the Cure mostly, and people critise me for that. It just annoys me. I like being different I guess but I just dont understand high school at all -.- It only brings misery, I hate what it does to me. Everyone cares about themselves so much, I just don't fit in with the other girls at all. I just dont fit in anyware, most of my friends bunk off school most days, but I actully want to go somewhere in life so I dont. Thing is, I probably want to be a musican or something but I may as well try my best in High School right? I'm in relativly high cles. I dont dress like the other boys and girls, I usally wear combat pants and a band shirt and trainers, I'm not too bothered about how I dress. I dont see how the other guys and girls care about their image so much but I dont critize them for it, I'm quiet but friendly most of the time. 4 wheel drive problems?

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport and the 4 wheel drive is command-trac. It's snowing here and I noticed my car was skidding a lot so I wanted to see if puttin it in 4 wheel drive would help. My car is always in 2 wheel drive but theres also neutral, 4H, 4L. I put it in 4 wheel drive and my car was swinging all over the road like going out of control (I wasn't going very fast maybe like 10 mph). Then my stick to change the 4 wheel drive was stuck in a position, finally I got it switched so I put it back in 2 wheel drive, and started driving. However, when I tried to go faster it seemed my car was resisting, then I pulled into the parkin and the turn made my car do a low grunting noise. It just seems like everything is messed up!! Your hair will grow at its own pace, you can't make it grow "faster" by using certain products or anything of that sort. As for how to make your hair less frizzy... like you stated- don't straighten your hair, blow dry, curl, tease and so on. Give your hair a break for awhile, try not to use any hot tools for at least a month but preferably longer. The damage that has already been done to your hair cannot be fixed but you can refrain from FURTHER damage by using hair protectors when you do straighten or curl or do whatever to your hair. Deep conditioning treatments will make your hair feel healthier, softer and overall nicer- I'd suggest you look into some deep conditioning treatments. Other then that, that's about it =] Regular trims will speed up the growing process and healthy eating would probably contribute to long, healthy locks as well. Hope I've helped ~ xx

Pain in lower right hand side of stommach near appendix?

hi i am having a pain in the lower right hand side of my belly almost over the appendix region. i have had the pain for almost 24 hours now but it is not like a normal appendix pain the pain will come every 20 - 30 seconds and feels like a pinch then goes again. i don't know if this is appendicitis as the appendix pain normally hurts the whole time or when you move but this come and goes like every 20-30 seconds

my worst stories are from my first child but it was the nurses i had a problem with the nurse that was wheeling me to the delivery room crashed me into a door, and then after i had my daughter she had been asleep for longer then 2 hrs after a huge feeding and a nurse came in looked at my feeeding sheet and started yelling at me that i was trying to kill my daughter and took my baby from the room, she did this right in front of the feeding people that come in to talk to me about feeding, i was bawling pretty bad after that, then the nurse brought her back and said her sugar test was fine and i needed to make sure she ate every 2 hrs or shed starve, it was horrible experience. some medical professionals can be real douche bags. then with my second child i knew i wanted an epidural once the pain got bad and i told anistesiologist this and he refused to give me one and gave me some shot in my back that he said should last through delivery, about 2 hrs later i was in such excruciating pain i had to get epidural and have another needle shoved in my spine, all because this guy didnt "like" giving epidurals

To many nail polish layers?????

ok. if i have to many layers of nail polish on, will it ever harden or will it always make creese lines if i bump my nail. heres what i did. i put one layer of clear coat first. three layers of the actual polish cause it was a very light pink, and a french tip. then, i stuck a sticker decal on it, and tons and tons of clear coat after that cause the sticker kept wanting to raise up. so will it ever get really hard? or will it always be soft? it needs to last today and tomorrow at least.

Take Mac 2 and install Windows on it. It shouldn;t lag, but you will still need to install the drivers. To be honest though, your not really going to have much of a performance boost, especially if you aren't playing games. Graphics cards determine nearly all of your performance in games, and any dual core CPU over 2 Ghz will be plently for most games (excpet for maybe Crysis). The only real advantage there is having 4 GB RAm, but thats easy to upgrade. But just go with Mac 2, mainly because it is simplly the better of the 3.

Small sharp pains in early preg?

I get pains very similar to that, and I am about 6 1/2 weeks. I went to the E.R. about a week ago because of them and because I was having some very light pink spotting like you mentioned. The doctor did a blood test and pelvic exam and everything with the baby was perfectly normal. I did however have a l infection (similar to a yeast infection) that he treated me for..and I haven't really had as many problems since. Hope all goes well for you!

How can I break up with my band?

Alright. About 1 year ago I got together with this experimental band, IT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE SERIOUS. The band consists of Me playing guitar, Mitch the bist, and Connor the drummer. Windows xp (media center) boot problems!! :(?

guys, need your help please.. Windows won't boot (not even "Safe mode, tried it). My Dell computer starts fine, I click F8 whatever shortcuts I take just shows the windows logo and then blue screen. Even debug mode, everything just gives me the blue scren. I want to reinstall windows xp format my hardrive (it was a virus a few days ago who started this) but Dell computers apparently don't have a Windows CD with them. Friend told me to create a bootable floppy but computer dosn't have a floppy drive. Is there anyway to fix and keep my original windows without installing a pirated copy? Don't want to go there. Don't care much about formatting if I had too luckily had a backup of almost everything.. TY

I have used them for a while and i have witnessed an evap line and stark white negatives :) i am testing 4 days before my period is due, I used FMU this am and i got about 1/8 of the test line that showed up positive, not faint and the same color as the control line (within 10 minutes) has anyone had this before? i looks like a smudge or a dot almost. has anyone heard of these defects? or is this considered a positive? opinions would be great! thanks!!!

Did chk dsk on Maxtor OneTouch 4 and it deleted folders that were corrupt?

I have a Maxtor OneTouch 4 external hard drive and it's driving me crazy. I have my iTunes library in it organized in subfolders. A few of the folders were corrupt and unreadable so I ran a chk dsk and that fixed it but then a couple of days later, I couldn't get into them again - system said that they were corrupt and unreadable. So I ran chk dsk /f /r again and this time the actual folders that were having problems have all disappeared. How I can get them back? I also lost some folders that had photos in them. Help!

When my monitor turns off after periods of activity and goes back to active, the monitor is unreadable. It looks like one huge blur and nothing is readable. Well yesterday his dad called and was talken to Eddie on the phone but he didnt know I was on the phone also and his dad said did you tell aimee yet? I do think it's irresponsible for people to ignore a medical condition simply because of the cost, however I also believe that most vets overcharge for treatment and office visits. The number of strays and unwanted animals would be drastically reduced if it were cheaper to have them spayed/neutered. Just because a family doesn't make 50K a year doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to provide the joy of a pet to love, and provide a home to a pet who needs love. I think that there should be programs made available through individual veterinary offices to work with people who would otherwise not be able to pay to have their loved ones treated.

The crime has definitely become really terrible in the last 5 years or so. We've had close to 520 murders for the year so far. (population 1.2 million). We have the 14th highest murder rate in the world. I think most people in Trinidad have had experiences with crime or know someone who has been hurt by it whether is be kidnapping, murder, robbery, theft etc. It is definitely not the kind of place you can walk around the town at night. Yes it is true that there is crime everywhere but in Trinidad it exists in a disproportionate way to our size and population and there are very few if any places that have been unaffected. It was not always like this and you need to ask people before you decide to go somewhere if it is a reasonably safe place.

How would I overcome some shyness to be able to be in the drama club?

At my house, I'm always putting on different facial expressions. I have an 'animated face' people tell me. I make weird facial expressions sub-consciously, plus I can make facial expressions to match characters. I always put on accents, and my voice is very versatile. When I take on a character, my personality completely changes with it, and I can be clever, weird, evil, etc. without even realizing it. I never really thought of doing this before, but my mother told me today that I should join the drama club because I'm very good at acting. The thing is though, that I'm extremely shy. I've always been, and I'm so shy, that I have no friends. If I wanted to be in a play, I'd have to try out for it next year, but I can just imagine myself going up there with a red face, laughing from nervousness, with a voice barely audible. I hate that about myself. It just comes natural in social settings, but in familiar situations, I'm completely different!
